Own.8

For the Woman Who Knows Who She Is

Somewhere between childhood dress-up games and the glow of Milan's fashion windows, a dream took shape. Diksha Jalan didn't just grow up loving fashion — she lived it. From being the girl who overdressed at birthday parties to studying silhouettes and structure in the heart of Italy, every step brought her closer to one truth: clothing is more than just fabric. It's identity. It's power. But in a world full of trends, she noticed something missing — timeless, high-quality Western wear made for women who don't follow, but lead. Women who don't need to shout to be seen. Women like you.

So she built Own.8. A brand rooted in quiet luxury. Made with premium Italian fabrics, crafted to hold structure, form, and strength — just like the women who wear them. Every blazer, co-ord, and dress is made-to-order, not mass produced. Because you deserve clothing that's tailored to your rhythm, your story, your ambition. This isn't fast fashion. This is thoughtful, intentional style for women becoming the most powerful version of themselves. If you've ever stood in front of your wardrobe thinking, "I want something that feels like me — strong, elegant, effortless" — this is it. You're not just wearing Own.8. You're becoming her.

Where did her love for fashion begin?

It began in childhood - when dressing up wasn’t just a game for Diksha Jalan, it was a form of self-expression. From birthday parties to school events, she was always drawn to style. Even then, she wasn’t just wearing clothes—she was telling stories with them.

But she didn’t study fashion first?

No. Academically gifted, she pursued a business degree and followed a traditional path. But even as she excelled in that world, fashion remained the one constant that continued to call her back.

When did she decide to follow her passion?

After completing her business studies, she took a leap and pursued formal education in fashion at Pearl Academy, Mumbai. An exchange program in Milan followed - where she refined her design sensibilities and developed a deeper understanding of craftsmanship, tailoring, and timeless style.

What changed in Milan?

Milan gave her more than knowledge - it gave her vision. Surrounded by refined design and enduring style, she learned to appreciate the details that make a garment powerful. It became clear to her that fashion was her purpose, not just a passion.

What happened after her education?

She joined her family’s menswear business, where she encountered premium Italian fabrics for the first time. Their strength, versatility, and elegance stood out - designed for durability and timeless wear.

Why Italian menswear fabrics?

Because they represented everything women’s fashion often lacked: structure, strength, and quiet luxury. She saw an opportunity to use these traditionally masculine materials to create powerful silhouettes for women - with softness where needed, and structure where it mattered.

Is that when Own.8 was born?

Yes. Own.8 was born from a clear gap she noticed in the market: the absence of premium, versatile, and sophisticated Western wear for women. She envisioned a brand that brought together fine tailoring, thoughtful fabric choices, and effortless elegance.

What is the essence of the brand?

It’'s power dressing - redefined. Own.8 blends the strength of Italian menswear fabrics with modern femininity. Every piece is designed for form, movement, and presence. It’s fashion that doesn’t just look good, but feels empowering to wear.

What sets the brand apart?

Its commitment to luxury, quality, and intentional design. Each garment is made-to-order, using top-tier materials. The brand stands on three pillars: craftsmanship, individuality, and timelessness. No mass production - only pieces that truly last.

What’s next?

The story is just beginning. Own.8 is more than a brand - it’s a movement for women who dress with purpose and lead with presence. What comes next? A wardrobe - and a mindset - built to elevate.
